2025-2026 Award Winners

Most Valuable Player – Ross McCormick Memorial Trophy
#11 Jace Dupuis

Awarded to the team’s MVP for the 2025-2026 Season, Jace plays the game with speed and drive and was a key contributor in all situations. In the end he was our leading scorer.


Best Defenseman Award – Orville Druitt Trophy
#15 Owen MacDonald

Awarded to the best defenceman for the Flags in the 2025-2026 season, Owen was relied upon heavily night in and night out to anchor our defence. He logged large minutes and was a major contributor on and off the ice to our organization. He very quickly became a fan favourite as a Mooretown Flag.


Rookie of the Year – Robbie Beaton Memorial Trophy
#23 Ethan Glavin

The best first year Junior hockey player for the Flags, Ethan had a very strong season as a Flag, was very coachable and we saw him really come into his own as a 16 year old playing defence in the PJHL.


Most Sportsmanlike Player – Clarence “Slash” Evans Memorial Trophy
#14 Lucas Ross

Lucas plays the game the right way with a high compete level and lots of physicality and yet he managed to finish the season with only 4 minutes in penalties.


Coach’s Award – Garry McDonald Memorial Trophy
#16 Carson Crawford

Awarded to the player who has exhibited strong leadership, hard work and dedication throughout the season. Carson in the last 2 years has shown much growth as a player and it shows on the scoresheet. His year over year improvement has been exceptional and we look forward to seeing more from him in the coming seasons.


Scholarship Award – Ron “Pork” Laur Award
#28 Jack Morningstar

Awarded to a post-secondary player that exhibited qualities of Mr. Laur – dedication, hard working and leadership. Jack earned this award by his commitment to the team on and off the ice and as a player who willingly filled every role asked of him. Jack is currently enrolled in the ICET program at Lambton College.


Bill “Gunner” Gunness Heart and Soul Award
#10 Mitchell Stack & #21 Noah Waybrant

Awarded for their consistent energy for the Flags this season. Their dedication, love and respect for the game of hockey, their teammates, and the Flags organization earned Mitchell and Noah the shared honour of the “Gunner” Heart and Soul Award.
